9:18pm: I've realized lately that there are lots of little things that make me happy.
For example: Today, I was walking to the bus stop and when I was about a block away, I noticed my bus was there so I started running. The bus stayed there long enough for me to get on and the bus driver smiled and said, "We were waiting for you!" and it made me really happy. First of all, it means that the driver recognized me as someone who frequently rides that bus and was nice enough to wait for me. Secondly, it was interaction with someone new. Just the fact that he's never spoken to me but today he did, made me happy. ^^

9:15pm: I hung out with Steph and Calyn this weekend at Steph's place. On Friday, we went out to eat at Kobe restaurant. The steak was really delicious. ^^ Lately though, I've been craving vegetables instead of steak. I still love steak, but on friday I inhaled all of the vegetables on my plate but left some of the steak. Then on saturday I had a vegetable quesadilla instead of one with meat. Maybe my body's trying to tell me something....? I went to the store today and bought a bunch of veggies too.
Steph, Calyn, and I can have fun just sitting and talking. I bet if we were put in an empty room, we'd still end up laughing and having fun in about two minutes. I think it's important to have those kinds of friends.
Tomorrow is my story telling presentation for Japanese. Hope I don't seem too nervous...

11:33pm: When I'm at the HEB in my neighborhood, it seems like I'm the only person in the store without a baby because many of the customers are young parents. This makes the check out line fun because you are surrounded by kids. I always make a game out of smiling at each baby until they smile back. If the mother or father notices, they'll look to see what the baby's smiling at and smile at you too. ^^
